Does my home healthcare insurance cover me when I’m on a Pickleball Trip?
No!
If you are out of the country you do not have coverage. You also may not have coverage if you are away from home. In addition, almost all home healthcare insurance policies have deductibles and co-insurance costs of $8,000 or more. This means you may have to pay for all your medical costs up to $8,000 before insurance covers any of your medical costs.
What medical services are covered by Pickleball United’s Trip Medical Program?
All Medical Services.
Including Dental, Vision, Hearing, Holistic and Prescription Medications.
Will I have coverage if I arrive early or stay later?
Yes!
Your coverage begins when you leave home and continues until you return home.
Should I purchase Travel Insurance with Medical Benefits?
Travel Insurance is primarily for flight related interruptions and costs. Some Travel Insurance policies have supplemental medical benefits. If you purchase Travel Insurance with medical benefits, the Pickleball United Trip Medical Program will supplement your Travel Policy’s medical benefits. You will also receive additional medical coverages, benefits and cash reimbursements not covered by any Travel Insurance.
Can I use any doctor, specialist, hospital or Medical Provider?
Yes!
Any Medical Provider, anywhere in the world.
What do I do if I need a medical service?
First, check with your Trip Organizer. They should be able to direct you to where to receive medical services. Also check with your Host Resort. Many have a medical person on site. Lastly, go to the nearest medical provider. After treatment, pay the bill and get copies of the treatment report, commonly called the discharge
document. When you return home, file a medical claim for reimbursement. Your Pickleball United’s Trip Medical Policy Agreement has all the details and a Medical Claim form.
